CCM Professor Presented Painting Award

James Gwynne, Professor of Visual Arts at the County College of Morris, was recently presented with the Painting Award at the Westmoreland Art Nationals Juried Exhibition for a painting entitled "Sky Dance III," which depicts a spiraling cloud against a blue sky.

This is not Gwynne's first award for his work. In 2010, the professor won the Best in Show award at Westmoreland for a painting, "Asleep on Blue Drape."

Gwynne joined the CCM faculty in 1972. He holds a Ph.D. from New York University, a M.A. from Michigan State University and a B.A. from The College of Wooster, Ohio.

His work has appeared in more than 300 shows and is included in many private, public and corporate collections, including the Pennsylvania State Museum and the New Jersey State Museum.
