Italian School NJ Releases Fall Schedule

The Italian School N.J., an educational offering for youth and adults seeking to learn to speak the language, has released its official schedule for fall classes, which will be held in Parsippany and Morristown.

Organizer Natalia Bernini-Carri said classes will not be held this fall or next year in Summit or Chatham, however, residents from these towns are welcome to study Italian as part of the Par-Troy and Morristown classes.

Bernini-Carri says the 15-session classes will use the "full immersion" method and curricula will be tailored to specific age groups.

The Fall-Winter semester will start on Oct. 1 and end in mid-February.

In Parsippany, classes will be held Thursdays from 4:30-6 p.m. for kids from ages 6-18 and from 6:30-8 p.m. for adults.

The meeting place is the Parsippany Police Athletic League building at 33 Baldwin Road.

In Morristown, classes for children from 2 1/2-18 take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-5:30 p.m., with additional sections for kids from 2 1/2-5 Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. A class for 6- and 7-year-olds will also be offered 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday.

All Morristown classes will be held at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship Church at 21 Normandy Heights Road.

If you are interested in private or semi-private tutoring, the schools offers this service. Call 973-954-1808 for details.

Information on classes in cooking, art, dance and other subjects—offered in the Italian language—will be released throughout the academic year.

For registration forms, applicable fees and discounts or further information, check out the Italian School N.J. website.
