It was a big Saturday for Morristown youth basketball fans, and a strong effort to comfort those from Parsippany.

The Frelinghuysen Middle School boys varsity basketball team, after taking the District 4 boys semifinals Friday, won all the marbles—and the championship—defeating first-ranked Central Middle School of Parsippany 71-59.

The game took place at Mackinnon Middle School in Wharton. 

Meanwhile, Morristown's Assumption School took the crown, defeating third-ranked Rockaway Valley, 55-42, at the Division 1 boys basketball championships. 

Assumption went into the finals holding first place position in the division.
