1 Injured After Car Overturns On I-287
State police say driver sustained a minor injury after crashing into the barrier on I-287 northbound by exit 36 on Monday afternoon.
A West Caldwell man suffered a minor injury after his car overturned on Interstate 287 on Monday afternoon, according to the state police.
Police said that Christoph Eucker, 20, was traveling on Interstate 287 northbound when he crashed into the center divider by exit 36 around 3:30 p.m.
Eucker told police that he lost control of his car after looking down at the radio and getting distracted. No other cars were involved in the accident, and no other injuries were reported, police said.
According to the state police, Eucker suffered a minor injury with a cut on his ear. He denied treatment and wasn't transported to a hospital, police said.
Eucker's car was totaled from the incident, police said.
State Police said the left two lanes on Interstate 287 northbound were shut down from the accident for about a half-hour on Monday afternoon.
