UPDATE: Over 15,000 Without Power in Morristown Area

Over 147,000 Morris County residents in the dark as of 10 p.m. Monday.

 

Over 15,000 houses in Morristown, Morris Township and Morris Plains were in the dark Monday night.

According to the JCP&L outage map, as of 10:24 p.m., 6,923 homes in Morris Township, 80 percent, were in the dark. About 64 percent of Morristown, 6,160 houses, were out, while 2,227, or 91 percent, were without power in Morris Plains.

Over 147,000 houses in Morris County served by JCP&L, 75 percent, were without power as of 10:24 p.m. Monday.

At about the same time, emergency crews were being called back to Town Hall in Morristown as conditions continued to worsen outside, and would remain indoors until conditions improved.
