Art Around the Park Returns on Friday
Quarterly arts showcase to be presented at several locations in Morristown.
Morristown's quarterly exhibition of art returns Friday as seven locations host "Art Around the Park," from 5 to 8 p.m.
Participating venues are:
Atrium Gallery (10 Court St.) featuring 260 artworks by 12 artists: Pam Hasegawa, Laurie Harden, Jyoti Godhani, Natalia Margulis, Lisa Ficarelli-Halpern, Nina Nemeth, Dorrie Rifkin, Dennis Joseph Yanoski, Robert Gagauf, John Tetz, Viki Craig and Wannetta Philips.
Gallery at 14 Maple (14 Maple Ave.) featuring GIVING VOICE, a juried show of works by 25 New Jersey artists curated by Margaret O’Reilly, curator of fine art, New Jersey State Museum. For this evening only, the gallery will also showcase the Sol LeWitt conceptual art project featuring 10 4’x8’ panels designed with a series of geometric patterns as part of an experimental team-building project for incoming freshmen at Morristown High School. John Madden, the Morristown High School Humanities teacher and spearhead of the project, will be available in the third floor workshop area to discuss the project.
“The mission of Art Around the Park is pure and simple: create a reputation for Morristown as an art destination,” said Harry Simon, owner of Simon Gallery.
