Bucco: I'm Not Sure Obama's an American
Says Corsi "birther" speech raised interesting points.
Assemblyman Anthony M. Bucco told the Huffington Post he's not sure whether President Barack Obama really is a citizen, and that it's a matter the courts will have to decide.
Bucco, who represents the 25th Legislative District, was among the local Republican officials who attended a speech Tuesday by birther Jerome Corsi in Morristown.
"I haven't really dug down deep, there was some important points raised," Bucco told the Huffington Post.
He continued: "I am not in a position to say what [Corsi] put up on screen is demonstrative of evidence; that is for the court of law. This issue has not resolved itself. It won't until some higher authority is involved."
And Bucco's not the only local Republican who feels the issue is unresolved. Corsi's speech was brought about thanks to the efforts of Morris County Sheriff Ed Rochford, who attended as well.
"The easiest way to put this to rest is to have the records [such as Obama's school transcripts' unsealed," Rochford told the Huffington Post in an email. "Mr. Corsi made a very convincing argument that President Obama may not be a natural born citizen of the United States."

Obama's birth certificate is not "sealed". He provided it for both visual and physical inspection four years ago, and it was authenticated by the Hawaii Dept of Health. Now that it's an election year, Corsi is just finding more suckers to peddle his ridiculous theories to. It's sad and unfortunate that one of those suckers is our representative.

The issue is that we actually had one of the candidates in 2008 who wasn't technically born in the US, John McCain. No one asked to see his birth certificate or questioned his citizenship, yet Barak Obama has had to endure these charges. I also commend Bucco for his statements, even though I think he must have a screw loose to think Jerome Corsi, of all people, is making sense. Bucco's statements will be very valuable to his competition in his next election. Congrats on joining the ranks of Sheriff Joe Arpiao and Donald Trump.

Assemblyman Bucco, John Sette and the other believers should present their own actual birth certificates as proof of their birth. If the factual verififaction given by President Obama is not sufficient, they should be held to the same standard. Would a lack of proof cause them to be considered illegals?
I'd also like to see verificaton Mr. Corsi's birth since he presents himself as an expert on this matter. Since his Swift Boat story was proven false, how can we be expected to believe the story he created for his latest book?
Since this has become such an improtant issue to the County Republicans, perhaps every candidate they place on our ballots should be required to follow the same standards they expect of those they accuse.

Ms. Brady, Isn't it obvious? President Obama's surname ends in a vowel, ergo he must be "foreign" born. Pay attention Messers Setti, Corsica and Bucco!,!!! When they come for you, you will find you are alone. Everyone else has been accused, convicted and gone. I thought this was a joke, but it is a powerful statement of the state of politics in the "Land of the free and the home of the brave". It is also the land of the "NUT jobs". From the State of Hawaii:
"In June 2008, President Obama released his Certification of Live Birth, which is sometimes referred to in the media as a “short form” birth certificate. Both documents are legally sufficient evidence of birth in the State of Hawai'i, and both provide the same fundamental information: President Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawai'i at 7:24 p.m. on August 4, 1961, to mother Stanley Ann Dunham and father Barack Hussein Obama."
Could it be any more clear than that?

It shows the low level of intelligence, or the total lack of common sense, of people who believe this birther baloney. The simple reality is that the Hawaii newspapers printed a birth notice when Obama was born. Does anyone really think that 50 years ago some conspiarcy was hatched to create an identity so this guy could some day be President?
And if all the so-called socialists, or marxists, or islamic facists really wanted to infiltrate the US government or White House would they name their front man Barack Obama, or would they recruit some white guy named Joe Smith, or Tom Kelly, or GI Joe, to fool the American public? It is a shame to see the formerly sensible NJ Republicans infiltrated by the right wing wacko element. These are the same people who branded Dwight D. Eisenhower a member of the communist conspiracy.

Jerry running for office is not something to be ashamed of. Win or lose and I have done both is an exercise in a process you may not be aware of. It is called democracy. How many ballots have you put your name on. If a candidate is a poster child then what exactly are the winners poster children of in Morris County? You really believe these are great public servants? They take money from developers and ppack their friends in jobs. The open Space fund is a rubber stamp slush fund for political pay offs. They keep themselves in office. That is all. You can see from these racist Birther rants that Republicanism in Morris County has become a religion and one that demands human sacrifice and it isn't Democrats that satisfy their blood lust, it is each other.

I understand people want to create confusion amongst the voters. The problem I have with this news story is that there are other economic issues that we need to focus on. As a registered voter, I am tired of witnessing the dysfunction exhibited by our so called political leaders. Focus on what matters and things that can be changed. Whatever conspiracy theory you have about Obama's citizenship is irrelevant at this point and you can do nothing to change it. Let's focus on creating jobs and ways to make the economy stable.
