Photos: Dirty Water Rock and Run is a Clean Success

The Morristown Liquid Church hosted the yearly Rock and Run to raise funds and help bring safe drinking water to citizens of developing nations.

On Saturday, Sept. 4 the Morristown Liquid Church hosted its annual Dirty Water Rock and Run—a 5k Run/Walk and live concert to raise money to provide clean water to needy villages in Africa.

Nearly 1,000 participants met outside the Hyatt hotel for the kick-off at 11 a.m. Those who participated in the Run-Walk ranged from all ages and all walks of life and as they neared the finish line they were greeted by cheering spectators and the ever present figure of Darth Vader who often accompanied them on the  the last stretch.

A live concert and festivities followed at noon. Children were able to participate in many events, including face-painting, bouncing house rides and even tryouts at temporary tattoos.
