A Morristown firefighter was hospitalized after responding to a fire in a townhouse on Thomas Trail Sunday, according to Fire Chief Robert Flanagan.

Flanagan could not immediately say the cause of the injury to the firefighter because he had to respond to another call right away, he said. Flanagan said he believed the firefighter was "fine."

The fire broke out at approximately 3 p.m. No one was home at the time, Flanagan said.

There was extensive damage to the interior of the home and some smoke damage to the two adjoining condos. No further details were not immediately available.
