Go to the Spa and Say 'Aaahh'

Five local places that will make you feel good.

There's still snow on the ground, but the feeling of spring renewal is getting stronger. It's a great time to give yourself a gift, like a visit to a local spa. A massage or other pampering body treatment will help you greet the new season with renewed vigor.

  • The Spa at DePasquale: A high-end palace of feel-good therapies and pampering treatments. Locals moan about the prices, but don't stop going there.
  • Massage Envy: The budget approach to massages and other treatments is the big draw here. Introductory massages are often on sale for $49 and if you sign up for multiple massages, there are additional discounts. The local buzz is good.
  • Salon Botanique: This Morristown salon and spa has a serene, appealing feel and the all-natural and organic products are wonderful. Owner Aurora Marks was recently profiled on Patch.
  • The Urban Muse: This Denville spa has many appealing treatments using natural ingredients, such as the peppermint foot treatment, green tea body treatment and the mandarin body polish.
  • The Center for Relaxation & Healing: Located in Chatham, the center offers a variety of treatments including Swedish massage, reflexology reiki and more. Sessions are moderately priced.
