Just because it stopped raining, the wind is gone and the skies over Hill Street in Morristown are a magnificent blue doesn't mean there still isn't the possibility of danger post-Irene, as the owner of this car is now well-aware.

The rains poured. The winds blew. Floodwaters crested the Whippany River, turning part of Martin Luther King Avenue and much of the surrounding area into a river. And, of course, the JCP&L substation went under.

Suffice to say, Hurricane Irene was not just another storm for Morristown.

As the one-year anniversary approaches, Morristown Patch is sharing the thoughts and insights of folks affected by the storm–the residents, businesses and those who had to head out and clean up the mess.

We have already looked at the "after," one year after our previous "before and after" photo series. Now, we want to hear from you.

If you have any thoughts or photos about Hurricane Irene, how it affected you, and how things are one year later, share them with us here.

It looks like everyone wants to block this whole thing out.

John, you and the Patch did an awesome job during the whole mess keeping people informed about where power was out and where it was on, where to get food, what restaurants were open for charging your phone and getting coffee and everything else. it was nice to have some info and a place to vent after the storm hit.

Danny's Pub had been open every day for over 25 years until that day.
Such a sad day that was.

Danny's Pub is still open? I thought that place was condemned years ago. I prefer Tashmoo on Sundays with that hot bartender.

Someday, a real rain will come and wash away all the scum.
