Morristown High School Boys Are Track Champs

Boys took the top spot in the indoor group sectionals meet on Sunday, move on to the state championship round this Saturday.

The Morristown High School boys track team took first place in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Group 3 North sectionals meet on February 13 at the Bennett Center in Toms River.

Morristown scored 54 to best Irvington, which came in second with a score of 46.5, and 10 other rivals in the Group 3, North 2 section.

The Colonials’ third place finish in the 1,600-meter relay (3:42.44) just ahead of Irvington helped secure the championship. The members of that 4 X 400 relay team were seniors William Vasquez and Anthony Harrell and juniors Colin LaPenta and Andrew Aboagye.
