What's better than helping others? What about helping others while helping yourself to some entertainment?

On Sunday, Monmouth County-based Move for Hunger and College Hunks Hauling Junk of East Hanover are teaming up for a summer concert and food drive on the Green. The free event, from 3 to 6 p.m., will feature live music, with all non-perishable food donations attendees make going toward the Interfaith Food Pantry.

The entertainment portion of the day will be headlined by the Adam Ezra Group, whose namesake spoke highly of College Hunks New Jersey franchisee Stephen Bienko, who organized the charity event. 

"He has been a fan for a while," Ezra said of Bienko's affection for his band's Boston-based Roots rock. "He has a very inspiring presence. We do a lot of charity work. He said he wanted to do this event, and we said count us in."

Bienko said the key to dealing with a problem such as hunger is awareness.

"Once awareness is raised it puts people on a heightened level to do something about it," he said. "The hunger issue here is quite unknown. It's such a beautiful county. People can forget there's a lot of hunger in Morris."

In addition to the concert, there will be face painting, balloon animals and a wing eating contest among the afternoon activities. Organizers just ask that people bring non-perishable goods to donate if they can. 

Ezra said he thought the event would surely be a success.

"Knowing Steve and the amazing people he surrounds himself with and the incredible cause, I'm sure it will be an inspiring afternoon for all of us," he said.
