'Measure for Measure'

Why Go: The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey tackles one of the Bard's "problem plays" with dazzling results.

Full Circle Plays Madison Downtown Concert Series
When/Where: Friday at 6 p.m. at Museum of Early Trades & Crafts, 9 Main Street, Madison
Why Go: Outdoor concert with a pop/classic rock band that plays "Elvis to Katy Perry and everything in between."

Saturday Morning Road Ride from Marty's
When/Where: Saturday, 8 a.m., from Marty's Reliable Cycle, Morristown
Why Go: It's summer and you want to test out those legs. Also, there's now two groups–one hardcore, the other a little less competitive.

All-Abilities Run from The Running Company

Why Go: You want to eat fresh and can't make the Morristown's Farmers Market on Sunday.

Plein Aire Painting
When/Where: Saturday, 9 a.m., Chatham New Jersey Transit Station, Fairmount Ave & Railroad Plz, Chatham
Why Go: Bring your easel and paints and enjoy a day of painting with your fellow local artists at Chatham's Reasoner Park.

10th Annual Community Family Day (Rescheduled from Aug. 11)
When/Where: Saturday, noon at Cauldwell Playground, Morristown
Why Go: It's all about family and community, and fun!

2nd Annual Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival
When/Where: Saturday, noon to 10 p.m. on the Morristown Green
Why Go: Because it's family fun with some of the finest performers in both genres.

Cabaret: 'Cakes and Ale' and 'Mark Twain and the General'
When/Where: Saturday, 7:30 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 4 Madison Ave., Madison.
Why Go: A night of theater entertainment presented cabaret style.

Bon Jovi Tribute with Bad Medicine
When/Where: Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Art Bonito Amphitheater at Camp Jefferson

Why Go: Because you like your religion al fresco.

Rebel the Pony's Special Event
When/Where: Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lord Stirling Stable, 256 S. Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: The friendly Rebel the Pony and all of his people friends will enjoy free games, story times and refreshments. All of Rebel's pony friends will be on hand to greet visitors and provide free pony rides.

Japanese Drums and Ikebana Art Program
When/Where: Sunday, 1 p.m. at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, Morristown
Why Go: It's a musical and interesting way to spend your Sunday afternoon.

Summer Concert Series
When/Where: Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater.
Why Go: It's not just a concert this weekend, as the county holds its annual Country Fest at 5:30 p.m. with country singer Beth Anne Clayton, followed by Radio Nashville performing at 7 p.m.

'The Magic Flute'

Why Go: Experience the great Mozart opera sung in English.
