Perhaps We Should Call it a 'Grape' Escape

Sample and savor hand-crafted wines at The Grapeful Palate.

Whether you are a wine-enthusiast or just someone looking for something fun and interesting to do with a significant other, consider treating your taste buds to a selection of hand-crafted wines at The Grapeful Palate on South Street.

The shop, which was recently featured in Park Place Magazine distributes hand-crafted artisan wines from family-owned and operated wineries all over the world. Store owner and wine connoisseur David Mendez focuses mainly on wines from wineries that produce no more than 5,000 cases, arguing that limited production means higher focus and wine quality.

Mendez hopes to educate customers on how to swirl, smell, and sip wine while sharing his love for the wine industry. Mendez's goal is to create a fun experience for customers while introducing them to new wines, beers, and spirits.

The store offers in-store wine samplings of up to four different wines every Friday and Saturday between 3 and 8 p.m. Check out their Facebook page to find out which wines are currently being sampled.
