PHOTOS: Progress at the Pocket Park
The former Washington Building site soon to host lunchtime relaxation.
First, it was an old, empty building. Then, it was a demolished building, behind a backdrop of fences. While the fences remain, today what once was the Washington Building on the corner of Washington Street and Schuyler Place is quickly looking more and more like the pocket park that was announced it would become earlier this year.
While no grass has been planted (and, likely won't be until spring, considering the temperatures), pathways and benches now sit on the site, waiting for lunchtimers to gather.
