We were caught off guard here at Morristown Patch Tuesday morning. And, no, it's not because of the minor ice storm that came through the evening before.
The Morris School District called for a delayed opening on Jan. 17. So, hopefully, the kids got an extra hour or so of sleep, and perhaps some parents did, too, if you're lucky. But, with temperatures quickly rising into the 40s, pretty much anything resembling anything worthy of a delayed opening had been reduced to water and slush by the time class was in session.
Which brings us to our "Question of the Day:" Should the Morris School District called for the delayed opening on Tuesday? Is it a matter of never being too careful when it comes to the kids? Did ghosts of our freak October snowstorm play any role? Was it unnecessary? Chime in below.
