Who Has The Best Chinese Food?

We're looking at restaurants in Morristown, Morris Twp. and Morris Plains

It's a staple for many households around the area when it comes time to ask: What's for dinner?

Pizza is a good standby. So are burgers. But, for lots of us, when you're not sure what to make, or you don't want to make anything at all, Chinese food provides the ultimate answer. It can be sweet, spicy. Deep fried, stir fried. For some, standards like General Tso's Chicken and Egg Foo Young always get top billing. Others like to go through those giant takeout menus with a fine-toothed comb, searching for something new.

In Morristown, Morris Township and Morris Plains, there are plenty of options. But, we want to know, which Chinese restaurant is just better than the rest.

Your choices are:

Aikou

Cottage II

Lin's

Hunan Wok

China Town Chinese

Spring Garden Chinese Take Out

Top's China

Hunan Chinese Room

Yummy Yummy

If we have somehow left an option off our list, please let us know in the comments below. Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday.

FYI...Hunan wok has a major roach problem. I found them in my bags twice, and once found one floating in my soup.

FYI... Yummy Yummy is sadly no longer in business :( The food wasn't the greatest but I was a fan of giving them business. They were nice people. I knew them personally. The economy hit them hard. Sign of the times.

Cottage II has the best ingredients, friendly and fast delivery. We will only order from them since they provide the best tasting and well made Chinese food in the area. Hands down, they get five stars in this household.

I agree 100% regarding Cottage ll...they were also great in everyway when they first opened in Morris Plains before moving to Mo'town as C ll. The Hunan Chinese Room is only popular because of their lounge and liquor license....Hunan Chinese Room's foos is very inconsistent and overpriced along with an unfriendly guest service for years....any establishment that closes early if they are slow as a rule is a primary example of very poor attitude about serving their customers.

Maybe Hunan just doesn't want to serve ranger fans. I can't blame them.

Chef Jon's in Whippany beats them all, though Cottage II is the best in Motown.

Panda at the Morris county mall has the best service and food. As for morristown Hunan wok is definitely one of the top. Never had an issue with my food. They are open late and have speedy delivery. They are my first pick. Cottage II coming in second. Hunan Chinese room would be third.

Its a tie, Hunan Chinese Room in Morris Township (Morris Plains zipcode). Cathy and her staff have always treated my family very nicely. The Cottage II is also great.

Nice to see that Morristown Green is reporting that police have found 9mm shell casings on Mills Street and you folks are talking about Chinese food.

Go Motown, we first reported on the shots fired and subsequent shell casings found, last week shortly after the incident occurred: http://morristown.patch.com/articles/police-shots-fired-on-mills-street. We're currently working on a follow up with information from the police report filed that night.

Yes because the police finding bullet casings on a road means that people shouldn't pay attention to anything else in life.

Yes, we should all remain indoors and DO NOT discuss Chinese food, whatever you do.

I think the real question here is why is there a hot tub and trampoline behind 16 Miller Place, a building associated with St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
