Speedwell Redevelopment Phase 1 Discussion Continues Thursday
Portion of plan calls for 268 residential units.
The Planning Board will once again hear the principals for Speedwell Redevelopment, who will discuss proposed plans for Phase I of the long-awaited project.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at Town Hall.
Morristown Development LLC, lead by Rich Murphy of Trammel Crow, first came before the Planning Board on March 22 to discuss Phase I, but the discussion lasted long enough that it was scheduled to continue at the next meeting.
Phase I of the Speedwell Redevelopment Plan, which was finally approved earlier this year after many years of various plans, focuses on Prospect Street, Clinton Place and a portion of Early Street, and calls for approval of a 268-unit apartment building with "associated site improvements and two levels of parking," according to the April 12 Planning Board agenda.

I want the Walsh family to build a bar (preferably with a bowling alley that underage kids can mingle at) as part of the redevelopment project.
