Councilwoman Among Freeholder Candidate Slate
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5.
In most cases, this year's primary Election Day would be relatively quiet, as there are no local elections this year.
Well, sort of.
Councilwoman Alison Deeb, the lone Republican on the Morristown Town Council, is among the large slate of candidates running for several seats on the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders. She was elected to her second term on the council last year.
Deeb is not the only Morristownian vying for a seat at the Freeholder table, however. Ed France, who has run for various government positions before including Town Council, also is running as a Republican.
On the Democratic side, Morristown resident Toshiba Foster also is running for Freeholder, though unopposed for the nomination to appear on the November ballot. Foster lost to incumbent Raline Smith-Reid last June in her bid for Town Council.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Election results will be officially posted here. Here is where to vote:
