Washington St. Bistro to Open in Former Shake It! Space
Shake It! Burgers and Dogs closed in early January after being open less than a year.
It appears the owner of the former Shake It! Burgers and Dogs wasn't kidding when he said his restaurant's replacement was not far behind.
A "Coming Soon" sign has gone up for the "Washington St. Bistro" at what before was a burger-centric joint was Morristown's only Cuban restaurant, Cha Cha Cha.
Shake It! closed Jan. 11 after being open less than a year. Owner Ray Luetters, who took over the business in June, cited health reasons for the closure. He added, "the new proprietor will apparently will be opening soon."
We're not sure how much of a historic theme this new restaurant plans to have, but it already has set the stage with a logo featuring none other than Gen. George Washington apparently ready to eat, suppied with knife and fork. No estimated opening date for the new dining destination was shown outside the building.
