Bathtub Murderer Sentencing, School Board Meeting This Week
Here's a look at what's going on in Morristown.
Ready for another busy workweek, Morristown? So are we! And, here are a few items for the busy week to keep on your radar:
- On Monday, the Morris School District Board of Education meets for its sole July meeting. It's at 7:30 p.m. at the Lafayette Learning Center, 31 Hazel St.
- On Tuesday, Kleber Cordova, the Western Avenue man found guilty of murdering his wife by drowning her in their apartment bathtub, is scheduled to be sentenced at 9 a.m. at the Morris County Courthouse.
- Also on Tuesday, the free "Music Without Borders" series continues at noon on the Green. Enjoy some free music over lunch.
- On Thursday, the Planning Board is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Among other items on the agenda is an appeal requesting approval for a "family billiard club/sandwich-coffee shop" at 147 Speedwell Ave.
- On Friday, be sure to be in the Town Hall parking lot at 6:30 p.m. for the monthly "Community Bike Ride." And, be sure to follow that up with Bike and Walk Morristown's "Music. Picnic. Art" event from 7 to 9 p.m. in front of Vail Mansion.
