Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

What Should Occupy TD Ameritrade's Old Space?

It has been vacant at least since Morristown Patch was a twinkle in our father's eye.

This space has not been home to TD Ameritrade for quite some time.

We say that because, prior to Morristown Patch launching over two years ago, we combed Morristown to get every business that existed into our Directory (and, by all means, if you're not in the Directory, let us know!). We continue to do so as businesses open and close, but this one wasn't something updated since the site launched. So, it has been at least two years.

That's a long time for such a prime location. On Washington Street, this property has significant foot traffic opportunities with several apartment buildings—The Chauncery, AMLI on the Plaza and 40 Park—within walking distance. The area already has a pretty active business community, with restaurants, bars, a florist and its old tenant nearby. Dare we say, the possibilities are endless?

So, for this week's edition of "Occupy This Space," we want to know what you think should occupy TD Ameritrade's old location. Chime in below.

An interesting restaurant that the town doesn't have (barbecue) or a day-care based on the location to commuting to NYC parental types.

Actually. . . a combination BBQ/daycare facility would be great - they'd have the most tender baby back ribs in the land. /joke

There is a day care in Headquarters Plaza and I think there is (was) a BBQ place going in down the other end of South Street. Even so, there are never enough BBQ Places!

Why has this place been vacant for so long? I am assuming the rent is just too high or the sub prime location (off the green) is driving potential lessee's away?

Btw... the story is about a piece of real estate and they didn't even publish the address?

The idea had been growing in my brain for some time: TRUE FORCE. All the king's men cannot put it back together again.
