If you walked past i do...i do... bridal salon this week, you might have noticed something other than their signature fabulous wedding gowns with black accents in the windows. This week, the dresses have been framed by fliers announcing a Veterans Day promotion. I finally stopped to look more closely at the fliers yesterday and was touched by what the shop is offering. Friday, Veterans Day, i do...i do... will give away 100 wedding gowns to the first 100 people in line who show their own or their finace's active military ID.
There are so many ways that people can and do express their gratitude to military personnel, but this is one I never would have thought of. As someone who has been in the shop before, I can say that the owners are incredibly sweet, patient and knowledgeable ladies. Now I’m adding generous to this list. True, this give away will help them clear out some stock, but they could have had a sample sale like so many other salons to still make money off of these dresses, but instead they’ve chosen to do something good for the community and that makes me feel good about being a patron of their business.
I’ll be sure to make a point of strolling by on Friday morning to see the turn out. I hope to see a line out the door of excited brides and grooms to be, checking one more thing off the wedding to do list thanks to the generosity of one of Morristown’s local businesses.

This is great! People were lined up at 8am, but I don't think it has reached 100 yet. Hopefully all dresses will be given away!!
