Dining, Drinking and Dating in Morristown

Discovering the Morristown 'Meet' Market

Hello, Patch People!

I'm very excited to be a part of the Patch Community. I moved to Morristown in November when I realized I was due for a change. I have been social online for many years due to interest followed by employment and now just out of habit. I needed an offline social life and fast!

So, here I am and I'm happy to report that I think I'm in the right place and off to a great start. I hope you will enjoy my contributions to the site as I discuss Dining, Drinking and Dating in the Morristown "Meet" Market.

The Famished Frog - Let's start here, because I know it best.

This is a great spot to meet for lunch or dinner. The decor is whimsical and as long as you don't mind a "family atmosphere" (high possibility of rowdy kids) it's a great place to bring a date, but perhaps not the place to go for a first date or to "meet for a drink" unless you avoid the prime time weekends.

The acoustics in the bar make for a bit of a challenge if you intend to have a real get to know you conversation and it's popularity will have you waiting for a good seat, so stick to the dining room if that's your prerogative.

They have a GREAT drink menu, ask for it and try the Rockstar Rootbeer for me! ... they were all out when I tried to order one on my last visit. *sad face*

Everything I have eaten here has been good. The Baked Brie is delicious if you want something to share with a friend and a glass of wine. If you are looking for something flavorful, but light try the Roasted Vegetables Entree. Their full menu is available on their website.

If you're looking for an active bar scene, then look no further than the Main Bar! Happy hour is Monday - Friday from 4-7pm. Check out the Foosball table, shuffleboard and Darts for a little friendly competition. On Friday and Saturday this a great spot to hang out and listen to some live jams.

I'll circle back to the Side Bar another time.

Please come and see if you think Glassworks Studio is a good place to bring a date. You can hear yourselves talking, see yourselves thinking and have a lasting memory of the meeting by each making your own glass piece of by sharing one that one fo you gets to keep as a memory.
Every Wednesday night is Adult night. It is BYOB and 15% off all projects. Currently the hours are 7-10pm for this all adult, creative glass fusing experience.
I hope to see you soon,
Stacey
