The game of bocce usually evokes images of older Italian men with fedoras battling it out on a 90-foot, rectangular court. Childhood games of rock-paper-scissors don’t usually come to mind when thinking of the game. But, if the Pope can play bocce, No Idea can start their bocce games with an old school game of rock-paper-scissor-shoot to determine who will throw first or pick their team color.

Cup Your Balls, who finished the season in 5th place (out of 6) won the RPS starter and chose to pick their team color, meaning 3rd place Boomshakalaka would throw the pallino to begin the game.

Cup Your Balls scored the first point to start off the intense match. Although their biggest lead was 12-7, the game remained close with Cup Your Balls on top for a majority of the game. Up 15-12 and 1 point away from winning the championship, Boomshakalaka comes back strong with 3 points to tie the game and put some pressure on Cup Your Balls. The tactic worked as Boomshakalaka scored the next point to become the first No Idea Bocce Ball champions, winning the game 16-15.
