Remember Thunder? We posted about him a month or so ago. He was a husky that was surrendered, who was almost completely hairless, and very thin. Well, Thunder is one lucky boy! He is now growing his fur back, and has put on weight. He is also a lot more energetic and affectionate. Please look at the before and after pictures. His fur isn't grown in completely, but you can certainly see a huge difference.
We also want to take the time to give a HUGE thank you (and please join us in the comment section), to Thunder's veterinarian and his foster dad! Both were integral parts in Thunder's recovery. Thunder's foster was found after we posted him on Patch originally. He came forward and has been a true hero. He saw Thunder through his recovery, brought him to all his vet appointments (and there were A LOT, and still are). He fed him chicken breasts when he wouldn't eat, and even brought him down to the beach! What a lucky lucky dog. I am grateful everyday for his generosity. Foster Homes save lives, and this is a perfect example.
And Thunder's veterinarian, Morristown Animal Hospital. They have been so supportive of Thunder. They worked tirelessly to figure out what was causing his hair loss, and what to do to fix it. And we are so very grateful. Nothing but wonderful, caring people at Morristown Animal Hospital.
Thank you Morristown Animal Hospital and Thunder's foster dad!
Things are looking good for Thunder and we will keep you updated on his progress!
