DESCRIPTION:Macculloch Hall Historical Museum presents a rare summertime 
 look at Thomas Nast&rsquo\;s Santa Claus.&nbsp\; Over thirty holiday ima
 ges by Thomas Nast will be displayed in the large schoolroom gallery on 
 the first floor of the museum.&nbsp\; The exhibit will feature a variety
  of Nast&rsquo\;s original artwork including paintings\, pen and ink dra
 wings\, printer&rsquo\;s proofs and engravings is a rare treat\nGenerall
 y only displayed during the holiday season\, visitors may see some of Na
 st&rsquo\;s best-known images during touring hours Sunday July 10th thro
 ugh Sunday July 31st.\nSanta Claus was inspired by the famous poem A Vis
 it from Saint Nicholas\, or &lsquo\;Twas The Night Before Christmas\, wr
 itten by Clement Clarke Moore in 1822. Many of Nast&rsquo\;s Christmas d
 rawings\, helped bring the poem to life\; his drawing of Santa was first
  published in Harper&rsquo\;s Weekly in 1863 and appeared in the magazin
 e almost every Christmas season for more than thirty years.\n&nbsp\;\nTh
 e Museum is open for house and exhibit tours Wednesdays\, Thursdays and 
 Sundays from 1-4 p.m.\n&nbsp\;\nLast tickets for tours are sold at 3 p.m
 .\nAdmission for house and exhibit tours\; \nAdults $6\; Seniors and Stu
 dents $5\; Members and children under 12 are free.\nMacculloch Hall Hist
 orical Museum preserves the history of the Macculloch-Miller families\, 
 the Morris area community\, and the legacy of its founder W. Parsons Tod
 d through its historic site\, collections\, exhibitions\, and educationa
