MORRISTOWN — Quentin Fielding is a composer, new age pianist, alternative rock song writer, film scorer and actor. Fielding performs a solo piano concert at the Mayo Performing Arts Center Starlight Room on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.
A resident of Madison, Fielding grew up on a mountain top in the small town of Hope. He began piano lessons in grade school at age 7 and perfected the art in the years to come. It wasn't until 2003, after hearing the works of a great composer of his favorite movie that Fielding began to write music.
In 2006, Fielding produced his first piano and scoring album. It was during this creative period that he drafted the songs "Silver Field" and "The Ghost Composer." At the time, he was also lead band member of an alternative rock band and made the decision, that year, that he would always have a place in his heart and a drive in his blood to pursue both genres of music. Fielding's 2010 album "The Ghost Composer" was the result.
In 2012, Fielding completed an Acting for Film program at the New York Film Academy. Fielding has recently finished scoring his first feature film, "Dark Tarot," set to be released in 2013 and one of his life goals was achieved — to act in and score a feature film. Fielding once again was the lead actor in "Dark Tarot."After graduating from college with a degree in liberal arts and a focus on music production, Fielding began working on his musical endeavors full time. In 2008 Fielding was recruited by Ten Phoenix Productions to score the independent film, Aiden Black. He was also asked to perform as the lead actor. Since then he has composed the music for several commercials, in one of which he again had the lead role. The acting bug had struck and Fielding expanded his career which includes several films.
