The Global Marshall Plan (GMP) is a worldwide initiative begun by the Network of Spiritual Progressives (NSP) under the leadership of Rabbi Michael Lerner. The NSP has called on advanced industrial countries to use their resources to eliminate global and domestic poverty, homelessness and hunger; provide quality education and health care for all and to repair the global environment. This seminar will focus on where the money raised will be targeted and steps being taken to inspire people to support the goals of the GMP.
David Mortensen is a member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway and serves as chair of the Newton Presbytery Peacemaking Committee.
