Wisdom Thinking: On Becoming A Wiser Man

Loyola House of Retreats, 161 James St, Morristown, NJ | Get Directions »
$350.00

Men Mentoring Men, the non-profit New Jersey organization dedicated to re-defining the concept of masculinity will hold a two-day weekend retreat for men entitled Wisdom Thinking: On Becoming A Wiser Man” on Aug. 17-19 at Loyola House of Retreats in Morristown, NJ. Men Mentoring Men leaders along with Dr. Ed Adams will help participants to identify, access, and foster a stronger relationship with their acquired and natural wisdom.

“Most men would describe themselves as practical, protective, hard-working and caring,” says Lambertville resident Dr. Adams. “But when asked if they possess wisdom, men are less certain.”

Participants will explore masculine wisdom in two ways. First, wisdom will be explored as a pragmatic source of information gained from life experience. Second, wisdom will be discussed as an intuitive voice that tells you what’s needed to develop and/or maintain a deeply satisfying life. The workshop is based on the premise that our busy lives, fears, and responsibilities often block what our Wise Self is trying to say.

Through the use of individual, as well as large and small group exercises, participants will be able to accomplish the following:

  • Understand the nature of your Wisdom
  • Appreciate Wisdom from a male perspective
  • Hear your Wisdom voice in everyday thought and decision making
  • Recognize the value of Wisdom Thinking™ in your relationships
  • Identify the connection between your Wisdom and your authentic values
  • Apply Wisdom Thinking to meet your life goals

This intensive workshop is designed for any man whom wants to live a more fulfilling, socially connected, and self-directed life. An atmosphere of fun and trust will be created to foster the emotional safety to share, reflect, and disclose the barriers that shut down and the steps needed to open up the ability to become a Wisdom Man.

The retreat, which costs $350, includes two nights of lodging, meals and all workshop activities. The weekend will begin at 5:00 pm Friday and end at 2:00 pm on Sunday. It will be held at the Loyola House of Retreats at 161 James Street, Morristown, NJ 07960.

To register for the “Wisdom Thinking” retreat, visit www.menmentoringmen.org or call 908-707-0774.
