Russian Film Festival at Morristown & Morris Township Library Thursday

Gentlemen of Fortune tonight at 6:30 p.m.

The Morristown & Morris Township Library continues their annual series of Russian Films Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Even though Presidents Obama and Putin may have their heated disagreements over everything from Syria to the United Nations, there is no disagreement about screening some of the best movies Russia has to offer.

Tonight's offering is Gentlemen of Fortune, a kindergarten director, a very kind man and a talented teacher, finds himself chasing a stolen treasure.  Not for his own profit, but with a noble aim: using his likeness to a dangerous thief (who stole the helmet of Alexander the Great) to find and return the treasure to his country.  Our gentle hero has to work and live with a band of thieves, and this comic tale makes this film one of Russia’s favorite all-time comedies.

Beverages and light refreshments will be served.  This program is supported through funding from the Friends of the Morristown & Morris Township Library.
