Morris County Teams Up With YouGiveGoods to Fight Hunger For Second Year

Online System Tracks Physical and Online Donations

The Morris County Municipal Action to Curb Hunger (McMATCH) campaign was launched in 2012 as a friendly competition between municipalities to see who could raise the most food for the hungry. This year, the second annual McMATCH campaign is running the entire month of September, which is Hunger Awareness Month. 20 towns are participating. Morristown, in support of Interfaith Food Pantry, is competing against ten other towns in Division 3. To visit the “2013 McMATCH - Morristown” Drive Page, click here.

Municipalities can choose to participate by organizing traditional food drives, raising money or conducting an online food drive at YouGiveGoods.com, where it will all be tracked in real-time, 24-7. To see which town is in the lead, click here. Towns participating in McMatch are classified by divisions, based on population; Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3.
