Morristown Resident Michele Armento Receives 9/11 Educ Grant

Michele Armento, a High School Academic Support English Teacher in the North Plainfield School District  has been selected as a For Action Initiative Fellow. The “For Action Initiative” advances the educational mission of the "Families of September 11."

She and four teammates will receive $4,000 to develop programs that help educators, K-12 students, and other members of the school community explore world politics and the roots of terrorism.

Ms. Arento says, "The For Action fellowship provides our team with a remarkable opportunity to implement many programs that we hope will encourage our students, educators, and the North Plainfield community to rise to the challenges of our times and find meaningful ways to remember, respond, and respect. It is with honor that I look forward to working with my team on this endeavor.”
