It's almost time for the grand annual tradition: the Morris County St. Patrick's Day Parade.
The parade lineup is set (see attached pdf) for the procession, which will start at noon March 9 at the corner of South and James streets in Morristown. The parade will proceed up South Street, around the Green, and end at Atno Avenue.
Almost 70,000 are expected on parade day, which begins with a Mass at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 91 Maple Ave.
Morris Sheriff Edward V. Rochford will serve as the 34th parade grand marshal. The Morris Township resident traces his family roots to County Cork, Ireland, and is a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Morris County, The Irish American Association of Northwest Jersey and the Paul W. McKenna Morris County Chapter of the Emerald Society.
