Photos: 'Make Some Noise' Bike Event Raises $10K

Annual bike ride was held May 15 at Loantaka Park.

A few years ago young Malcolm Sutherland Foggio, a cancer survivor, decided to start a foundation to support children with cancer. He understood very early in his own cancer therapy that there was a need for more research money dedicated to children's cancer research. According to Malcolm, only a small percentage of all cancer research money ever finds its way into children studies.

Malcolm's idea took off and after creating a legitimate foundation, support began to appear throughout the country. Saturday's event took place on the South Street side of Loantaka Park. There were a few bicycle runs and walks and guests were treated with food beverage and entertainment. It was a fun day for all and a productive day for the foundation, which raised nearly $10,000.
