Skydiver ID'd After Fatal South Jersey Fall In…

UPDATED: Snooki and JWoww Coming to Morristown

Filming for 'Jersey Shore' spinoff series expected to begin Aug. 9.

The Jersey Shore is coming to Morristown.

No, the Atlantic Ocean is still due East. 495 Productions, the production company for the MTV-aired Jersey Shore spinoff series "Snooki & JWoww"—featuring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley—has advised the town they will be filming for the show's second season in Morristown starting next month.

Filming is expected to begin Aug. 9 and run through Oct. 14, according to Jordan Nefouse, of 495 Productions.

"These dates are subject to change by a few days and we'll of course keep you up to date," he wrote.

They will not be living in Morristown, the letter states. With a baby due in September, Polizzi, a New York native, recently moved into the East Hanover home of Jionni LaValle, her fiance and father of the baby, who will be named Lorenzo.

A crew of up to 10 and two to three cameras will follow the two reality TV mainstays, who "will walk down public sidewalks to privately owned locations such as bars, clubs and restaurants which have been pre-cleared for them to enjoy their evenings," Nefouse wrote.

Mayor Tim Dougherty admitted to having never seen "Snooki & JWoww," or "Jersey Shore," noting he first thought the name "JWoww" referred to a man.

While he said the town is not closed-minded to any production company wanting to use Morristown for their shoots, the safety and quality of life of the residents comes first.

"The Town Council is aware of it. I have had a conversation with my Business Administrator (Michael Rogers) about it," the mayor said. "I would like to talk to the police chief (Peter Demnitz) about it and what the town would have to do logistically.

"We have had other production companies come and film in Morristown without incident," Dougherty said, noting a commercial was shot in town earlier this summer.

"We're a very happening town. The downtown is very vibrant," he said. "I just have to sit down with the chief, BA, council president (Michelle Dupree-Harris) and look at logistics, how it affects downtown, our citizens. Is it going to have a negative or positive effect? We just want to make sure it's not disruptive to our citizens."

The mayor noted Wednesday for production companies that want to film in Morristown. He said in light of "Snooki & JWoww" and the pending filming, officials are discussing the potential for some sort of permit process being put in place.

Read from business owners about the expected filming.

These women are fame whores.. The represent nj in a terrible way .. And they aren't even from nj!! Their ignorant and fake and should just go away..
Erika arnstrong July 28, 2012 at 02:42 PM
One is our of wed lock pregnant and one has the fakest boobs ever.. really .. This is what we want our children thinking is normal? They made the shore look like trash and give real jersey women a very bad rap. I think they should just drop off the face of the earth.. I'm a born bred jersey girl and I'd like 5 minutes with these two to educate them in what a real jersey girl is all about.. It's class never trash .. Send them away mayor!! Say no!!
Vivian Bedoya July 28, 2012 at 03:37 PM
Mayor Dougherty should watch an episode or two of both shows before these two arrive in Morristown...

http://www.complex.com/girls/2012/06/snooki-reportedly-makes-150000-per-jersey-shore-episode Since our public school teachers and the schools they work in are failing to educate our young people (who always arrive on-time, well-rested, studies, fed, and ready to learn), Snooki and her team are doing society a favor. They are showing young people that despite having a low IQ and a dearth of morals, you, too, can become a millionaire and Have It All™. And the best part is that this feeds on itself! Instead of paying attention in our failing schools, kids think about Jersey Shore, 16 and Pregnant, Real Housewives, and the like, assured that they will be on one of these shows (if the rap or pro athlete thing doesn't work out) and commit a slow academic suicide. And our inept educators have thusfar failed to successfully compete for the attention of their young minds.

I may have to rename my summer series on my blogging website so it says "Things You Saw in Morristown but Wish You Didn't" comes the fall. I'm sure there will be many sitings like I captured comes the fall. Check it out http://www.theladyinredblog.com/the-odd-things-i-encounter.html

Snooki better hable espanol July 29, 2012 at 02:05 PM
Snooks isn't go to do much - morristown at 2:00 am On Saturday night is mayhem- if you think otherwise- you don't live here or sleep very soundly from your very early bedtime until the next morning. Drugs, crime, ridiculous illegal alien population - those are real problems.
stacie bohr July 29, 2012 at 03:33 PM
Why in the hell would a very pregnant Snooki want to be hitting bars and clubs as the article states (restaurants, sure...food is good!)! I think the answer for her and JWhoCares is $$$$. Just returned from a weekend at the Hyatt Headquarters Plaza today. If we had to walk around that nonsense all weekend with four kids..I'd be annoyed to say the very least.

@Stacie I imagine she wants to be a WHORE just like the Kardashians .it is so sad that these people even get TV time.

First of all, stop yelling, please. They will be bringing in business? Unwanted business. I'm assuming you are young MIN. Families like family places to go. If we want the Jersey Shore on a daily basis we'll go to Seaside. Leave our neighborhoods out of it. Why don't you move here and pay our taxes and mortgages and then let us know what you think. Good luck on that one. We don't live where we do to entertain nonsense so someone else can make a fortune. We live here to raise our families decently.
MINPINSAM July 30, 2012 at 12:36 AM
45 isn't to young. & i wasn't yelling, just like writing in caps. this town needs some excitement. a perfect place to entertain snooki & jwoww. so chill out, except & welcome them.

I don't know why everyone is having a cow. The scenes to be shot in Morristown are nothing more than Snooki scoring a few day laborers to haul to Seaside to clean the beach for her. You'll hardly miss them, she only needs 150.

I don't live in Morristown, so I'm on the fence about whether or not they should film there. But, I will say, in my opinion, that the entire Jersey Shore cast are young, immature and talentless morons, who are now rich and famous (or should I say infamous) thanks to the viewers who watch that ridiculous show and keep it on the air. I watched literally 5 minutes of the first show, and was instantly turned off. And I'm not uptight, nor a Mom, nor a kid. Then I had the "luck" of catching Snooki on the Jay Leno show and was floored by how stupid she is...a brick would have a higher IQ. Then I caught about 10 minutes of a much later episode, and still found it to be stupid, boring, irritating...I can't even find enough negative words to describe it. I would be mortified if I was on film smashed, falling off a bike, etc. Yet this chick is now richer than most of us put together. But, again, we get to thank the viewers for this...those who chose The Jersey Shore as one of their guilty pleasures. The residents of Morristown should go out and get fake tans to make them feel welcome! ;-))

Dark Horse can't get any worse. Hey, maybe it'll even bring some more security down to the area at night.
Morris98 July 30, 2012 at 07:21 PM
I don't want them to film here. Does that make me an overzealous nut? No! I fail to see any redeeming value to her as a celebrity and don't believe she is a good role model...period. Do you have a right to disagree with me? Absolutely! To me, it's bad enough that she and her cohorts corrupted our beautiful shoreline by using the namesake "Jersey Shore" as their moniker. Are there bigger problems in life yes? Does that mean that I'm ok with her being here? No! Are their homeless in Morristown? Yes! Is that a good thing? No! Because I complain about Snooki, does that mean I should solve illegal immigration, homelessness, drug addiction, dirty streets, world hunger? No! Only giving my opinion on Snookums and J average coming here to film.
ANGELA July 31, 2012 at 11:56 AM
what happened to live and let live - are all the naysayers "perfect" Snookie has been trying very hard to show the world she is going to be a good mother - her past antics may have been a little gross but these shows are all about ratings....I do not watch it regularly but once in a while i will tune in and it is amusing. East Hanover is mostly Italian and Gianni and Snooki really make a cute couple. The complainers out there must have perfect kids to be so judgmental. Bring it on JWow and Snooki.
stacie bohr July 31, 2012 at 03:10 PM
I don't think it's a matter of people thinking their children are perfect. Motown is a charming, historic town. It is not conducive to the lifestyle of the Jersey Shore crowd. I think the opposing group in this poll would like to preserve the town's integrity. It's not a perfect town where no one does anything wrong....but it is not Seaside Heights.
MINPINSAM July 31, 2012 at 06:37 PM
I can't believe you are still crying about this Stacy. I'm not sure what you see as charming, but I don't see it. Historic / history, its just that, history. Leave it in the past where it belongs. There is no history that is worth keeping in the present. I can't imagine in 30 years the history books will have that Snooki & Jwoww filmed a reality show here, It will all be forgotten in 3 months & never talked about again.

I hope they visit long enough to worship with us on Sunday mornings at the most historic place in town: The Presbyterian Church in Morristown. Been here since 1733! The Green was our front yard. Service times at: www.pcmorristown.org
stacie bohr August 01, 2012 at 04:25 AM
I am definitely not crying, Min. And my name is spelled Stacie, not Stacy. You don't have to agree with me. What I find interesting is that the majority of the cast members of the JS are from Staten Island. How about representing your own state rather than making ours out to be a joke. Haven't we had enough of that. The Sunken Meadow Shore would be more appropriate. Don't represent when you honestly can't and make a fool out of us who can and take pride in where we come from.
MINPINSAM August 01, 2012 at 04:40 AM
This is my opinion & Hope no one takes offense to it. I just can't see anyone going to church every sunday & as you say it, worship. & To go & worship a fictional character. To me its a waste of time & money in the basket. & the church gets away without paying taxes on the money it brings in.
MINPINSAM August 01, 2012 at 05:05 AM
I'm sorry for not seeing how you spelled your name, & spelled it how I felt like it should be, lol. Well they live in hoboken now I think, or atleast thats where they lived for the 1st season of their show, I think. My wife watches that crap, Only time I watch it is if my wife is watching it & I have nothing better to do. I don't think they should even have a show period. I think the show is the biggest waste of brain cells. The only reason i'm even commenting here is that I live in Morristown, & I love going against what most other people like. If everyone else was going for red, I would be going for blue, lol.
stacie bohr August 01, 2012 at 09:31 PM
So basically what you're saying is that even if you have an original opinion of your own, you won't share it if it is within the grain of others to create conflict? You can do or say whatever you choose but people on here are actually interested in our local politics, current events, etc. I have no desire to banter with people who participate in order to get their rocks off. And how you feel my name should be spelled is irrelevant. It is spelled Stacie. And the lol thing...so not funny. Quite immature, actually.

They shouldn't have been denied access to shoot in Morristown :(
