Gardeners of the Early Street Community Garden are seeking answers after a 25-lb. pumpkin that was grown in honor of a friend who died last year was stolen on Monday, according to NJ.com.
The pumpkin was grown in honor of Mark Tobler, a former fellow gardener who grew giant pumpkins in the garden before dying of cancer in 2012, NJ.com reported. After Tobler's death, his friends from the garden decided to continue on his tradition and keep growing the extra large pumpkins near a poster of him.
Gardeners told NJ.com that they are hopeful whoever took the pumpkin will return the seeds at least.
