Two Groups Bring Opposing Gun Views To Morristown

They both set up an informational table in front of Vail Mansion on Tuesday afternoon.

The NJ Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America set up a lemonade stand at Vail Mansion in Morristown.

To offer a different viewpoint on the issue, the New Jersey Second Amendment Society set up a table just a few feet away.

During Congress' summer recess this August, members of the NJ Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America will join others around the nation in lemonade to pressure Congress to pass background check legislation when they return in the fall.

The New Jersey Second Amendment Society is a "grass-roots movement dedicated to securing the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in New Jersey ... (and) promote the free exercise of our Second Amendment protected Rights in the Garden State," according to NJ2AS.

Check out the videos. Patch video interviewed Aislinn Cholet of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and James Kaleda, Vice President of the New Jersey Second Amendment Society.

In addition, all moms and members are being asked to share their “recipe” for lemonade with their members of Congress through social media. Lemonade recipe instructions can be found athttp://momsdemandaction.org/lemonade-stands-2013/. Recipes should be emailed to photos@momsdemandaction.org, or Tweet and Instagram the photos using the #lemons2lemonade and #momsdemandaction.
