Voca People, John Oliver, Michael Feinstein to Grace MPAC Stage

Patrons can hear the song styles of George and Ira Gershwin, a cappella music and enjoy a laugh with comedy show.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center will host a variety of events next month.

Multi-platinum selling musician Michael Feinstein will perform classics from George and Ira Gershwin at the center on March 21. Feinstein met Ira Gershwin in 1977 and became his assistant for six years. He gained access to several of Gershwin’s unpublished songs, many of which he has recorded.

Feinstein, a five-time Grammy nominee, has been called “The Ambassador of the Great American Songbook.”

Feinstein’s concert will begin at 8 p.m.; tickets cost between $69 and $99.

VocaPeople, an a cappella singing group, will perform at the arts center on March 22. The group performs favorites from a variety of musicians and musical styles, including: Madonna, Queen, and Mozart.

The concert will begin at 8 p.m.; tickets cost between $29 and $59.

British comic John Oliver, a correspondent on The Daily Show with John Stewart, will perform a set on March 23.

He has been a correspondent on The Daily Show since 2006. He’s appeared on the show "Community" and hosted his own show on Comedy Central for three years.

The set will begin at 8 p.m.; tickets cost $37.50.
