CCM Professor's Art to be Showcased at Drumthwacket

Work will be on display from July 9 - 31.

Drumthwacket, the governor’s mansion in Princeton, proudly exhibits many works of art. Now, a professor at County College of Morris will have his art displayed there, as well.

Artist Todd L. W. Doney, a professor of visual arts at CCM, was invited to showcase his painting in an exhibition of New Jersey-inspired landscapes at the governor’s mansion. Doney’s painting, “Swamp, October 18, 5:58 p.m.” will hang alongside pieces by W. Carl Burger, Gary Godbee, Tricia Zimic and others from July 9 to July 31, according to a release from CCM.

Morris Museum recently hosted a solo exhibition for Doney called Nature Sublime: Landscape Painting. If you missed it, several of the paintings from Nature Sublime will be at New York City’s Broadfoot & Broadfoot's Lower East Side gallery in the "The 155 Project," which will run from July 14 through August. The gallery, www.the155project.com/, is located at 155 Orchard Street, New York, between Stanton and Rivington, according to a press release from CCM.

The release says that Doney is a self-described neo-impressionist and neo-romantic and paints landscapes inspired by his own backyard – the Great Swamp Wildlife Refuge.

Currently, his work is represented by Broadfoot & Broadfoot located in New York City and Boonton. His works are in public and private collections worldwide. Doney joined the CCM faculty in 2011 and teaches drawing, painting, portfolio and presentation classes at the college.
