Easter Egg Hunts, Bike Rides and Dance, Baby, Dance!

Another weekend full of opportunities for fun.

Easter is coming up on Sunday, which means there are plenty of things you'll be able to do this weekend, in Morristown, and beyond, that have to do with the holiday. Not least of which is an Easter Egg Hunt set for Saturday on the Green!

But, if you're looking to get away from all things Easter Bunny for a while, we have you covered in that department, too. Check out all that is happening below.


Where/When:
 From 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 21 at  in Parsippany.
Why Go: Because you’re a business owner who wants to learn how to speak with public officials. An associate professor of marketing and management at Monmouth University will lead the workshop.

Where/When: Beginning at 6 p.m., Thursdays at  in Morristown.
Why Go: If you’re a beginning runner, then the 10- to 11-minute-per-mile pace (walking breaks allowed), should not be too daunting ().
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: At the  at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21.
Why Go: Vergano will lead a tour of an exhibit at the museum, which features her works, titled, “Beauty in the Brushstroke: Chinese Brush Painting.” 
Pricing: $5 for members, $7 for non-members.

Where/When:
 From 7:45 to 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 at the .
Why Go: Because you want to socialize, party, or dance. So why not do all three at the same time?
Pricing: Free for students; $15 for non-students.


Where/When: At 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23, at the Parsippany Playhouse in the Parsippany Community Center.
Why Go: Because, according to Alicia Ciccone’s , “the play is a perfect mix of emotional and comedic qualities that keeps the audience on its toes.”
Pricing: $18 for general admission, $15 for seniors.


Where/When: Starts at , makes its way through Harding and Chatham, then back to Morristown, beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturdays.
Why Go: The pace will be moderate for this 20-mile ride. So if you’re looking to get back into tip-top shape for the summer, this weekly bike road might be a good way to start.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the  on Saturday, April 23.
Why Go: Because, according to New Jersey Blood Services, the need for blood is constant and one in seven people entering a hospital will need blood. So, if you’ve got some to spare, why hold out?
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: Beginning 12 p.m. at  in Chatham on Saturday, April 23.
Why Go: The event aims to raise awareness about the positive environmental impact of using cloth diapers by attempting to break a world record for the most cloth diapers ever changed simultaneously.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: At the  in Morristown at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 23.
Why Go: Because Sykes will be performing her unique style of stand-up comedy, which has made her one of the most recognized comics of the past few decades.
Pricing: Tickets range from $57 to $97.

Where/When: Saturday, April 23 at all Lowe's locations.
Why Go: You can plant your free tree in honor of Earth Day.
Pricing: Free.

Easter Parades and Promenades
Where/When: Sunday, April 24 celebrated at ,  or Why Go: To don your Easter best and stop by before or after visiting with the relatives.
Pricing: Free.

GRAB & GO KIDS PLANNER


Where/When: At  at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. 
Why Go: Because there will be a 5K run, a fitness walk, and a race for kid’s too. But more importantly: proceeds will benefit The Valerie Fund, which helps children with cancer and blood disorders.
Pricing: $27.

Easter Egg Hunt on the Green
Where/When: On the Morristown Green starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23 (rain location: Morristown High School).
Why Go: Because it's fun, because there will be candy for all, cartoon characters and the Easter bunny will be on hand for children, four to 10 years old. No registration required.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: From noon to 2 p.m. at the  in Morris Township on Saturday, April 23.
Why Go: Because children ages 5 or older can grow a plant that never needs to be watered. How cool is that?
Pricing: $3 per child plus museum admission.


Where/When: At  in Morris Township on Saturday, April 23 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Why Go: Because the staff of Fosterfields Living Historical Farm will show how they keep a bee hive healthy during “The Buzz” at the hive.
Pricing: $6 for adults; $5 for seniors 65 or older; $4 for children 4 to 16; $2 for children 2 and 3. children younger than 2 are admitted for free.


Where/When: From 1 to 3:30 p.m. at  in Morris Township on Saturday, April 23.
Why Go: Because families (parents/guardians must be present) can make sheep toy crafts or play historic games.
Pricing: $6 for adults; $5 for seniors 65 or older; $4 for children 4 to 16; $2 for children 2 and 3. children younger than 2 are admitted for free.


Where/When: At  in Kinnelon on Sunday, April 24 beginning at 10 a.m.
Why Go: Because families with children three or older can enjoy this hike and egg hunt on Easter.
Pricing: $2.

Where/When: Saturday, April 23 at  in Bernards Township, at 11 a.m.
Why Go: 3,000 Easter eggs will be stuffed with surprises.
Pricing: Free.  RSVP online requested.

Where/When: Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at  in Bridgewater.
Why Go: You'll learn to make creative Easter stamps with foam. The Bunny will be so impressed!
