Hymns with Hicks

On Sunday mornings in March, The Presbyterian Church in Morristown offers a free program that traces hymnody through the ages with Director of Music, James Hicks.  Beginning with Old Testament temple worship and proceeding through the Christian era, Jim will demonstrate how disparate movements such as the Reformation, the Age of Enlightenment, the Great Awakening, the Oxford Movement and the 20th Century upheavals have brought us to our current state of congregational singing.

Classes take place at the Parish House (65 South Street) of The Presbyterian Church in Morristown at 9:15 a.m. on March 6 and 13.  Free parking in the Parish House lot.
