The Amazing Race, Top Chef and Hell’s Kitchen: Reflections on Reality Television from a Superfan

Are you a fan of the Amazing Race, Top Chef or Hell’s Kitchen on television?  Local resident Arthur Perkins has turned his enthusiastic interest in these reality television shows into three books that act as surrogate Bibles on each show.  Mr. Perkins started watching Hell’s Kitchen and Top Chef in 2005, when the series began, and has seen every episode of every season. He considers himself a ‘superfan’ and will visit the Library to talk about the shows and their influence.  His books will definitely appeal to other ‘superfans’, but will also allow those unfamiliar with the shows to grow into informed fans themselves.

Mr. Perkins will have copies of his books on sale for $20 each (cash only please).

Refreshments will be served. Please join us.
