VIVA! Choral Music from Latin America

The Masterwork Chorus, under the direction of Andrew Megill, will present Viva! a concert of works in Spanish and Latin, on January 30, 2011, 3 pm at the Concert Hall at the Dorothy Young Center at Drew University, Route 124, Madison, NJ.  The performance will feature vivacious and electrifying choral music from Latin America, including Ariel Ramirez's Misa Criolla and the Lamentations of Jeremiah by Alberto Ginastera. Smaller works on the program include Latin American folksongs and "O vos omnes", a motet by Pablo Casals, the extraordinary Spanish cellist and composer who spent the final years of his life in Puerto Rico.
