Fall Festival Fills The Green in Morristown

Fall gets underway as thousands flock to the center of Morristown Sunday.

Food, and fun were the highlights for the perfect fall Sunday as the festival on the Green kicked off fall for the 19th time. People from all around the area poured into Morristown to sample the downtown of the county seat.

The Family Stage at Morris Street and Dumont Place had a steady crowd that were delighted by Eyes of the Wild & Wallaby Tales, Polka Dot Pals Band, The Red Oak Lightning Bolts Competitive Jump Rope Team (video of that is attached to our other post of the festival) and South Street Dance and School of Performing Arts.
This popular attraction was sponsored by the Morristown Medical Center

Bayer HealthCare Speedway Racing at North Park Place at Speedwell Avenue held a racing under a tent for all ages while the Morristown Partnership Kids Place Children's Amusements on Speedwell Avenue had Bounce, Slide and Play all day.

But beyond the assembled tents of tasty treats from places like Urban Table and the Roots there were vendors representing local businesses and non-profits that were spreading their message and collecting names and e-mail addresses (the Morris CERT team and the Market Street Mission were particularly busy).

Thousands of people were greeted by roving entertainers like Keith Leaf Amazing Juggler and Chris Chiappini on Unicycle. Many festival-goers took their tasty treat samples and hung out in the cool shade of the green itself.
