'Cake Boss' Opens New Bakery in Morristown Thursday

Buddy Valastro holds grand opening of his fifth location Thursday on the ground floor of Metropolitan at 40 Park.

Morristown will finally get its slice of the "Cake Boss."

Buddy Valastro will launch his fifth New Jersey location Thursday with the grand opening of Carlo's Bakery Morristown at 40 Market St.

The East Hanover resident had hoped to open the bakery, which will be located on the ground floor of the Metropolitan at 40 Park, by the end of 2013.

The bakery will officially open at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to the Facebook page for Carlo's Bakery Morristown.

"Morristown really is a family town," Valastro said in a statement announcing the opening back in November. "It represents everything we are about at the bakery. I’ve been to Morristown many times and have always thought it would be a perfect place for Carlo’s.”

The Morristown 3,700-square-foot location will feature a party room to house celebrations ranging from birthdays to bridal showers.

Valastro, the star of TLC's "Cake Boss," has his flagship location in Hoboken, as well as bakeries in Ridgewood, Westfield and Red Bank with another one planned for Greenwich, Conn.
