Morristown Mayor Timothy Dougherty will join fellow dignitaries and members of the business community on Friday, May 6, at 1 p.m. for the grand opening of Qdoba Mexican Grill at the Shops on the Green, 40 W. Park Place.
The grand opening will celebrate the newest addition to downtown Morristown’s thriving shopping and dining scene. At the Shops on the Green – 70,000 square feet of new retail space on the ground floor of the 40 Park luxury residential building – growth has been particularly brisk. An upscale New York-style steakhouse, Roots Steak House, opened in February and a hip, urban-casual hamburger restaurant, Urban Table, opened in late April. Specialty coffee retailer Starbucks recently signed a lease at the shops and will open for business this summer. An AT&T store opened at the shops last year.
Qdoba is a fast-casual Mexican restaurant known for its famous Mission-style burritos. The restaurant has more than 500 locations worldwide. Food will be served at the event.
