Hyatt Morristown Launches Beer Club, Opens Patio

Friday night is the kick off of the beer club and patio with the first tapping of NJ's River Horses' Summer Blonde beer.

The rainy weather isn't going to keep spirits down at Hyatt Morristown. On Wednesday, they launched the Hyatt Morristown’s Neighborhood Beer Club. The concept for the Neighborhood Beer Club is centered on building a sense of community and offering a variety of local beers for its patrons. In addition to offering a new variety of craft, local and artisan beers, Hyatt Morristown wanted to build a connection between the hotel and the neighborhood it resides in.

The club is a complimentary loyalty membership program, where guests can register their email address and receive discounts, promotional offers, and invitations to beer talks with brewers and help select new offerings for the future.

“This interaction will allow us to talk about our guest’s experiences and work to create the best experience possible,” said Cory Baum, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hyatt Morristown. “This will also allow us a forum to share our passion.”

This club was launched after some new features were added to the hotel.

Craft beer is gaining popularity fast and Hyatt Morristown jumped on board this past January by adding a 10-tap beer system to offer a larger selection of draft beers. In addition to expanding their selection to offer beers such as Guinness and Boddingtons, they also offer five distinct local and craft beers.

“This recent addition inspired us to create, not only a new variety of beers for our guests, but a way of having a discussion with our patrons regarding one of our favorite topics, great beer and food,” said Baum.

The hotel is defining “local” as a beer that originates from New Jersey or a bordering state.

“This regional location criterion not only gives us fresh local products to share, it also cuts down on the transportation environmental costs for our patrons to enjoy their selection,” said Baum.

Not only is there a new beer selection, but the bar menu is also getting a facelift.

“Our new menu takes inspiration from the beers offered,” said Baum. “Our team of chefs uses these unique flavors to ignite the senses of the palate. If you are looking for a way to try it all and sample all our beers, we offer sampling flights paired with specific appetizers, next time you are here, try a Dogfish Head 60 – Minute IPA sample paired with soy glazed shrimp. As you can image, the bitter IPA blends with the sweetness of the mango wasabi sauce to create a unique and enjoyable experience for your mouth. Bring friends and try all of our tastings and appetizers.”

Their new and current beer offerings are as follows:

  • Dogfish Head 60 – Minute IPA from Delaware
  • Yards Brawler
  • Weyerbacher Merry Monks
  • Troegs Hopback from Pennsylvania
  • Riverhorse Summer Blonde from New Jersey
