“The original idea for Market In May came from our Mansion In May designers," said Cathy Biczak, Market In May co-chair. "We are delighted to create a special event around their concept of 'great design at insider prices.' Especially since our Women's Association signature event of Mansion In May is typically held every other year, our members and Mansion visitors asked us to come up with an "off - Mansion year" event.  We think the Market In May Designer and Vendor Sale fits the bill, as shoppers will love the beautiful merchandise, the sale prices, and the chance to see many of their favorite designers from Mansion In May."

As an added feature on Friday, by appointment, people may bring their own art, jewelry, or decorative accessories to receive a professional appraisal from Doyle New York, Auctioneers and Appraisers, for a fee of $5 per item.

"Market In May is all about finding that great new treasure for your home or for yourself," said Christie Gisser, one of the three event Co-Chairs. "We love the idea of also giving people a chance to learn the value of their own treasures from home, similar to 'Antiques Roadshow' on TV."

Visitors can obtain appointments at www.MarketInMay.org, which are available until time slots are filled. Advance sale tickets are now available online for $10 at www.MarketInMay.org and will allow entry to the event one hour before the doors open to the public.  Tickets purchased at the door will cost $12.

In keeping with the Women's Heart Health theme, Market In May will be decorated with red heart balloons and potted spring time floral displays. Heart-healthy snacks will be part of the available cafe lunch and on-site coffee bar.  Market In May will offer free parking in the Hyatt Morristown parking garage below the hotel at 3 Speedwell Avenue in Morristown.
